Lights, Camera, Action!

In the words of the great Gloria Swanson… I am ready for my close up…

This week saw the recording of the final episode of a new five part mini-series that I was asked to make for Learning Now TV on the topic of Engaging Conversations.

Now, more than ever, this is a important topic to discuss as for some this is a ever changing world from the one that they were previously used to. The team meetings, the kitchen catch ups, and 1:1’s have all been replaced with video conferencing.

As someone who has been working remotely for almost the past three years, with a spot of global hotdesking and airport commuting pre-Covid, it is a world that I am very much used to. However, with the advent of Covid there has been a sharp increase in the number of video conferencing calls even in my diary. And, as we all know, at times they can be incredibly exhausting.

So, we have be become strategic in when, who with, and for how long we engage. We have to be decisive as to where we invest our energy to ensure a successful outcome and to avoid fatigue.

The mini-series will hopefully give you the tools you need not only to reflect on what you need to progress with the here and now, but also how to succeed in the future.

As the series unfolds there will be accompanying blog pieces at strategic points to help provide extra resources, so stay tuned for further details.
